  A great survival item for your backpack, at less than 3 ounces.

The TowFloat^TM is a self-propelled, steerable floater(bobber),  that works by using the relative motion of the water to pull it where you want the bait to go.
   If you have ever wished you could fish on the other side of a stream, or fish out in the middle of a lake or pond, troll out from the side of a boat, this is the device you need. Just drop the TowFloat^TM in the stream and watch it take off for the opposite shore!!
   Every time you release the tension on the line the floater  changes directions. This feature allows you to walk back and forth along the shore of a lake and "walk" your bait out into the lake all the way to the other side if you desire.
Often you can fish under trees and brush on the other side of a body of water in a way that is impossible with conventional methods.
   To fish in a stream, simply drop the TowFloat^TM into the current , ease the brake on your reel and let the current pull the bait/hook out until it is where you want it to be.
   Flip your rod tip and the TowFloat^TM will run downstream, flip it again and it will pull back towards the opposite shore, continue until it is  where you want it and set brake on your reel.

The Towfloat is the only side-planing device that we know of that is one-piece, has no removable parts to get lost,  reverses automatically with the flow of the current without any adjustments. It works in lakes and ponds as well as moving streams.
